Book Review: Her Fake Date Until Midnight by Eve Pendle.

Thank you Eve Pendle for sending me a copy of 'Her Fake Date Until Midnight.' Happy Publication Day!

The Blurb.

He's hot. Rich. Domineering. And grumpy.

Hedley Decker is used to people obeying his every command, but the unconscious stray dog on his doorstep isn't impressed, and nor is the pretty veterinarian who saves it. Overhearing that she needs a date for her ex boyfriend's wedding, he proposes a deal: she'll help him find the real owner before the puppies arrive, he'll be her fake date. But one evening isn’t enough. She’s a temptation he can’t resist.

She's kind, trapped, and soon to be broke.

Her dad's illness means Clara Rowe desperately needs to keep her job at the only veterinary clinic, owned by her ex's father. If that means overtime and going to the wedding solo, so be it. Then gorgeous and arrogant Hedley Decker storms into her life with an offer of one night of pretense and pleasure that’s too good to be true.

They join forces to search for the lost dog's owner, and their spark of attraction flares. He's returning to his city life; she knows better than to risk her heart. How can they have forever love when they're faking it, and time is running out?

A scorching hot fake dating, opposites attract, small-town Cinderella British romance with heart, humor and banter.

My Review.

If you're looking for escapism in the form of a very steamy romance then this might just be the book for you. Hedley Decker knows what he wants and how to get it. Clara Rowe doesn't know how to get what she wants but after a few encounters with Hedley, she knows she wants him. Dealing with low self esteem which isn't helped by her work colleagues, one who happens to be her horrible ex, doesn't exactly give her the confidence to woo the big shot CEO in town, so she's surprised to find that he can't seem to leave her alone.

Hedley and Clara have a very passionate relationship from the start, even if it takes time for them to finally get together. Once they do, they only have eyes for each other...and a couple of dogs and puppies along the way. Hedley gives Clara a much needed push to take charge of her own life which I liked and I also liked that Hedley learnt a lot about his own life from Clara. They made quite a fiery pair!

This story has small town vibes with nosy neighbours and close knit friends, cute animals, a little bit of romance and a whole lot of sexiness. Pick up 'Her Fake Date Until Midnight' here.

Happy Reading!
Love,
