Pasta Making Workshop with Cooking and Carafes.

This past Sunday we did a pasta making workshop with the lovely Kate from Cooking and Carafes. We've been wanting to do one for ages, because we love Kate's passion for pasta. She makes the most amazing dishes and her Instagram pictures always make our mouths water!

The class was so much fun. Everything we needed was set out in an email so we were fully prepared before we started. Kate gave clear instructions and was super friendly and easy going. The atmosphere was relaxed and it was lovely meeting new people. We all felt like it was such a magical thing to be inviting each other into our kitchens even if it was over Zoom. We definitely recommend doing one of Kate's many workshops as a great night in (or out eventually), as a birthday treat for a pasta lover, as a mothers day/fathers evening to spend time with your loved ones, a date night or friends night or simply to learn something new. There are so many different reasons you should take part, all amazing!! Here are some pictures from our evening!

It was wonderful to get Grandad's pasta machine out and to also discover a bit more about where Kate's love of all things Italy came from. It was so interesting learning more about our host. She's just lovely. Kate was amazing at giving instructions and creating a relaxed atmosphere where everyone was free to ask questions, make mistakes, laugh, chat and enjoy the evening.

We chose to do a spinach and ricotta filling for our pasta as that was one of Grandad's favourites, but we picked up so many ideas from Kate and the other lovely ladies at the workshop and are desperate to try them all as they sounded incredibly delicious. Kate showed us lots of different shapes we could make, with and without pasta cutters. We attempted them all and were SO pleased!! Grandad would have been very impressed with our Tortellini!! Don't you think?!

Just look at the selection of the pasta we made. Honestly we had an absolute blast! The other ladies we did it with were so sweet. We chatted, we had a laugh, we talked about Italy and food and we had a refreshing drink or two. It was a fantastic night. We also now need to get some extra pasta making equipment from Kate's shop,  don't get us wrong, you can make everything with a knife, fork and a pizza cutter, buuuut her pasta stamps look so cute!!!

The final product!! So scrumptious and deliciously fresh!!! :) Visit Cooking and Carafes to book a workshop today!! You will love it!!

Have a great day!
