Book Review: Ice Creams at Emerald Cove by Holly Martin.

I was highly anticipating this book from Holly Martin. There was something about Jesse from the previous books that made me very interested in his and Skye's story.

 The Blurb.

Skye Philips and Jesse Hamilton have a complicated relationship. They’ve been neighbours, best friends and even briefly married. But ever since Skye returned to the beautiful shores of Jewel Island to help her sisters Aria and Clover run their family hotel, she doesn’t know where she stands with Jesse.

When they’re together the chemistry between them sizzles, but with Jesse living in Canada and Skye on the Cornish island she calls home, they’ve kept things casual. Till now…

Jesse is coming to Jewel Island for the annual Pudding Parade and Skye knows this is her chance to tell him how she really feels. But putting her heart on the line isn’t easy when it’s been broken in the past. Will Jesse return her love? Or will she lose him for good?

Everything she's ever wanted can be hers if she's willing to take the chance, but is Skye brave enough to risk her heart once again?'

Set sail to the Cornish coast where sunshine, laughter and romance awaits. This stunning love story is guaranteed to steal your heart this summer; it’s the perfect read for fans of Sarah Morgan, Veronica Henry and Jill Mansell.

My Review.

First off, yes to all things puddings and Skye's café. I love that she made the most amazing sounding ice creams and that she spent her time coming up with delicious sweet treats. Everything sounded so yummy! I could picture the café very clearly in my head and it just sounded like a dream on the island.

Okay now lets jump into talking about Jesse. In the last two books we got to see snippets of his and Skye's relationship and I couldn't help but be drawn to the giant Canadian and want to know more about him. He was so lovely helping Skye out with her café and was always there for her, but something was holding him back from fully committing to her. He had a lot on his plate, not to mention being with Skye would mean moving across the world, but he was so sweet and kind and lovely that I wanted things to work out for them both.

Skye was going through her own issues and trying to navigate the life she found herself with. When her sister shares some exciting news, she is left thinking about a difficult time in her life and contemplating the future. She knows she wants more from Jesse, but it's getting it that seems to be the problem. She loves him, but can she tell him?

'Ice Creams at Emerald Cove,' is another utterly romantic read by Holly Martin. There are ups and downs, will they/won't they moments, a whole lot of love and one giant rhubarb pie to make for a Pudding Parade. You can't get much sweeter than that!!!

Happy Reading!
