Sister Book Appreciation!

Since we're all caught up with our book reviews until we finish the books we are currently reading, I thought today I would do a little sister appreciation post or my own Monday Motivation, if you will and share a bit of book love for Lucy's three gorgeous books. In case you're new to our blog (Welcome) you may not even know Lucy has three books out in the world, so here's all the information you may need...

Book One: How To Bake A New Beginning!

Lucy's debut!!! I don't even know how to explain in coherent English just how excited we were when Luc got the call saying HQ Digital UK would like to take this book on. We had been reviewing their books for a year or two by this point and the idea of Luc getting to say she had a book with them and would have a cover from them - it was too much!!! Luc wrote the book she wanted to see on the shelves and subsequently one I wanted to see too. It's full of family, food and love and I absolutely adore it!

Three sisters. One trip to Italy. The chance to change their lives.

Amanda has always taken the role of big sister seriously. She has her life in order; a fantastic job in a great restaurant, a wonderful house and a best friend who’s a Rockstar. But, Amanda’s beginning to realise that her life is missing one monumental piece…
Sabrina is living the high life in LA. Her Instagram is full of lavish parties, her tweets are brimming with celebrity names, but in reality she’s stuck behind a desk working for a boss who is determined to make her suffer. Is it time for her to stand up and take charge of her life?
Louisa has always been drowned out by her sister’s successes. As the university drop-out she’s always felt third best. But a chance encounter in a little Italian village may be about to change that…
When their beloved grandfather passes away these sisters are forced to take another look at their lives. These three sisters are about to embark on a journey of self-discovery that could just lead them down a road of romance (with a little help from the kitchen)!

Book Two: The Ingredients For Happiness!

I was so proud of Luc for the success she had with 'How To Bake A New Beginning' and was even more proud when she got a phone call saying that HQ Digital UK would  like to take her on for another two books!! Contrary to what you might think I never actually read 'The Ingredients for Happiness,' or the next book for that matter, before they went to print. I like to be surprised! This story is actually a sequel to her first book and boasted more recipes and more dream chasing from sisters Amanda, Sabrina and Louisa. Luc completely transported me back to Italy with Louisa and made me pine for it more than usual! I also really want to visit Amanda's café!

Three sisters, a stash of family recipes, the chance to make their dreams come true…

Amanda is about to open her very own café. She has the pastry sorted, but hasn’t a clue about the plumbing. With the love of her life by her side, surely nothing else can go wrong?

Sabrina has struck out on her own and is proving to the global music industry she has what it takes. However, balancing the business side of the band with her personal life will end up being more than she bargained for.

Louisa is drawing inspiration from the beautiful Amalfi coast, channelling it into creating gorgeous gowns for modern day Sophia Lorens. But putting herself out there in the fashion industry will present its own challenges, even with the ever-supportive Luca by her side.

With the right mix of perseverance, love and plenty of Italian delicacies, these three sisters are about to discover that when they support each other, the sky really is the limit!

Book Three: Wishes Under A Starlit Sky.

If there is one thing that my sister does brilliantly in her books, it's how much emotion she writes with. Her stories all mean something to her and come into her head when she needs them too and I think that comes across in her books. This one made me cry and while it came about after not such a good time in her life, it's full of heart and love. I really feel that this story needs to be read by a lot of people. It's not a typical storyline, it's very real in how someone might be affected by such a big change in their life and how they learn to move forward. It's got all the makings of a wonderfully, cosy read, set at Christmas time in Colorado, but there's so much more to it. It's raw, it's emotional and it's about love in all it's glorious forms!

When life doesn’t go to plan, you can write yourself a new story…

From the outside, Harper Hayes looks like she is winning at life.

She has an amazing job as a script writer, a wonderful house, an awesome best friend and an incredible husband. Yes, life seems to be pretty, dare she say it? Perfect?

But life is about to throw more than one spanner in the works of Harper’s picture perfect existence and at the busiest time of the year too.

As Christmas approaches, Harper will have some soul searching to do to decide if there really is such thing as the happily-ever-after she writes about.

There you have it. Words honestly don't do justice to how I feel when it comes to Luc and her writing. (as well as her as an all round human being and my twin.) I adore her stories, her books take pride of place on my bookshelf and she inspires me every single day with following my own bookish dreams.

If you've already picked up one, two or all three of her books, then I thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting my sister and her dreams! (Amazon reviews are great, if you have time and haven't done one already! ;) )

If you haven't read one yet or didn't even know she had books published, I hope you give one a go and enjoy the delights of Italy or the snow slopes of Colorado

Have a great Monday and Happy Reading!
