Happy Publication Day Virginia Heath!!

So, today is publication day for The Mysterious Lord Millcroft by Virginia Heath. I'm super excited about it and cannot wait to share my review. However, I'm going to be honest and tell you that I'm only half way through the book right now. I've been a pretty bad bookworm lately. There's been a lot going on and I just haven't found the time to read as much as I want to. That being said, the good news is, I am absolutely enthralled in this book.

This is book one in Virginia's 'The Kings Elite' series and I already know it's going to be a good 'un. Could it possibly top 'The Wild Warriners' series? Hmmm...we shall wait and see, although I think I'll always love the Warriner men no matter what. I was so happy that this new series involved characters from the last Warriner book, things like this always warm my heart and make me happy. I like to know where my friends are at in their lives and what they are up to way after reading the last page in their books.

In 'The Mysterious Lord Millcroft,' we follow Sebastian Leatham, who, like Jacob Warriner is a spy in The Kings Elite. First of, I immediately love this just because it sounds so cool; The Kings Elite...it makes me picture these strong men, who are brave, talented and incredibly clever to do what they do. Seb was a winner to me from the start and yet he keeps finding ways to win me over again and again - if that's even possible! I adore that he is quite shy with the ladies and prefers to keep himself to himself, yet he is confident in his field of expertise and knows what he is good at. I am thoroughly enjoying seeing Lady Clarissa edge him further and further out of his comfort zone. At this moment in time, I left them both kissing on a table in someones study!!! I cannot wait to see what happens next and what on earth Seb has gotten Lady Clarissa into, or should I say that the other way round? :)

It's so very exciting and another absolute treat from Virginia Heath. She is one of my all time favourites!

I will update this review when I've actually finished the book, BUT, I do have something for you in the meantime...Virginia Heath has ever so kindly sent me a paperback copy of 'The Mysterious Lord Millcroft,' to give away. To enter simply answer the question in the comments below:

If you were a spy, what would your area of expertise be?

The giveaway will be open till next Wednesday and is open to U.K residents only. Good Luck!

*Okay, I had every intention of coming back with a more detailed review once I'd finished this book, but I just can't gather enough words - that makes a change! It's a simple matter of : I absolutely LOVED this story and you MUST read it! The characters had me giggling, which Virginia Heath gets spot on every time. They were just brilliant. The spying added a fantastic touch to the story, that made it so captivating and engaging, that I literally could not wait to get home to curl up and continue reading. I've told my Mum about it fifty times - her pile of Virginia Heath novels is getting bigger and bigger and I had a genuine air of happiness around me while I had my nose in-between the pages. Seb might just be my favourite hero ever. His shyness was endearing and so refreshing for a man in a historical romance and as for Lady Clarissa, she was marvelous. I cannot say enough good things about them and this story. I would read it again in a heartbeat!

Happy Reading!
