Little things.

We've written a few posts in the past about little things that make us happy, or how it's the small things that take up the most room in our hearts, and we still very much believe this to be true. Since moving back home there isn't a day that goes by where we don't feel grateful for what we have in our lives. We love being back in the U.K. Here's why...

Shopping in Tesco on a quiet Saturday afternoon.

Lighting candles in our own homes after a long day at work.

Having wonderful little spaces to call our own, which means painting and decorating all we like.

Opening the curtains on a Sunday morning to whatever the British weather may be.

Popping round to see Nanna after work.

Wednesday dinners at Mum and Dads.

Planting pretty Spring flowers on a sunny afternoon with Mum.

Sunshine beaming through every window, making our houses feel extra special.

Coffee mornings and our endless supply of Nescafe Espresso, while curled up on our couches writing.

Movie and nail nights with Jen.

Mum's cooking.

Being home to enjoy parcels from Italy.

All the Mum, Dad and Nanna cuddles whenever we want them.

Being a apart of our brother and sister's lives.

British TV, for those nights when we are feeling a bit chilled and actually sit down to watch it.

Cooking with Nanna.

What are you thankful for each and every day?

Have a lovely day.

  1. Oh I love this post and completely understand every single thing. As a Beijing expat, there are all of the things I miss about the UK! We've signed up to another 2 year contract then we want to come home too. It really is the little things isn't it?! I'm glad you're enjoying being back home! Nikki xx

    1. Thank you Nikki! It's definitely the little things. Being back home is wonderful! :) Beijing sounds amazing though, we hope you are enjoying it! xx
