We kicked off the year celebrating our Nanna's 86th birthday and our Grandad's 91st birthday. Though it will forever suck that we weren't home for it, we got to Skype with them and sing to them and celebrated from 4000 miles away.
We wrote tons this year, getting into our groove with our blogging schedule, among other projects. Also, we got to work with Crosta and Mollica which not only made us happy, but made our Nanna and Grandad incredibly excited. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts Crosta and Mollica.
We started working for Powercrunch and it became one of our favourite jobs we have had. I, Lucy, got back into the ring and appeared in my first ever theater production, to which Kelly made an appearance in too!
We got to meet one of our all time favourite authors, Lindsey Kelk and Kelly attended Wrestlemania, where she got to see The Hardy Boyz make their freaking return!!!!
Inspired by our Nanna and Grandad, we were never out of the kitchen and were cooking up a storm earlier this year. Making Grandad's pizza and finally getting Pastiera right were some of our proudest moments.
We each celebrated four years married, Kelly back in March and me in October. Four years on and we love our husbands more than anything.
We went on our first ever cruise with our familia and had a lovely time with our husbands and family. We ate lots of food and explored some beautiful places.
Uh, it's so hard to write this one and we can't without crying, but we lost our everything in July. Our worlds changed forever. We spent every minute over the summer with our family and cooking with our Nanna. It still doesn't feel real that our Grandad is gone.
We spent a day in London sorting stuff out at the Embassy and finally finished the last bit of our US Visa process, thank God, which meant all was done and we were able to relax. Well, until we have to start the whole process again for our husbands to be able to stay here. Doh! We got new jobs and also attended Christmas with The Overtones at Bridgewater Hall in Manchester with our Mum, Auntie and sister. It was nice to just smile and sing all night.
My Chris, (Lucy) got to cook for Nanna and make her mussels, she was overjoyed and the day was magical. And in the build up for Christmas the house, as usual, began filling up with Pandoro.
A big part of this year, and the past few months, can be explained with one word...Fedez! We fell in love with Italian rapper Fedez, and his music and our learning Italian has been a huge comfort. We got to enjoy family time, a game night with our brother and his beautiful girlfriend, and lazy days with our sister, Jen, eating cakes and Quality Streets. It wouldn't be Christmas without Quality Streets. Also, Christmas day, while tears were shed, was a blessing of many special moments!
And, Harry Styles came back into our lives. It's been a while since we listened to One Direction, and we have not stopped playing his album. We're going to see him in concert next year and can't bloody wait. He's been a wonderful inspiration to us as of late. By the coziness of our Christmas trees, we're setting goals for the year ahead and feel motivated to truly push and make things happen in 2018.
There's a lot of exciting things to come that we have been working incredibly hard on, we feel so blessed and grateful and look forward to sharing them with you in the New Year!
Thank you all for reading our blog and coming back each time. It truly means the world to us!
Have a fantastic New Year. Be safe and be happy.
All our love
