Happiness Diary: May.

I did my last Happiness Diary back in March and really enjoyed it. I loved reading Lucy's April diary and couldn't wait to share mine with you again. I've been keeping track all May of the moments each day that have put a big smile on my face, so let's jump right in.

1. I felt like baking, so looked up a recipe on pintrest and on the spur of the moment made Lemon ricotta muffins. They turned out delicious.

2. Made Grandad's pizza on my own.

3. Skyped Mum. Haven't spoken in a few days, so it was nice to chat and see her face.

4. Went bowling with Chris. It was nice to get out and do something fun together. We played two games and each won one, although I say I won in total because I won by more points! ;)

5. Spent an afternoon taking photos for our coconut lane post. Had a little confidence boost in our new shades, which felt good.

6. Had a lovely Skype chat with our brothers girlfriend. We can't wait to meet her in person when we go home.

7. Went to the produce stand with Luc and Suc and got Ice Cream.

8. Spent the day blogging and making Gnocchi with Lucy, while dancing round the kitchen of course.

9. Ran a little errand for Dad. It always makes me feel good to be able to do things for him, especially after all he has done and continues to do for us. Also had pizza and wine.

10. Chris was in work later, so got to spend a lovely morning with him. The sun was shining and it felt like weekend. Also had a 30 minute Skype call with Dad, just me and him! :)

11. Watched Walking on Sunshine for the 10th time! It's just happiness in movie form and yes I still adore Giulio Berruti.

12. Went to watch Luc rehearse for the play she is doing soon. So proud of her.

13. Listened to music and sat and scrapbooked with Luc. Nice to finally sit down and get some done.

14. Held a baby alligator...no really!

15. Went to Orlando for the preview of Luc's play and listened to Fedez's new song all the way there. It's awesome and is perfect for dancing!

16. Had a 'back to basics' night with Chris. No phones, just cooking, walking and chatting together.

17. Filmed a clip of me and Luc dancing to Fedez's song. It was nice to spend an afternoon really laughing and doing something random again.

18. Had a lovely Skype chat with family and made Tiramisu! Amazing!

19. Luc stayed for dinner. Made spaghetti with prawns and homemade tomato sauce. Made peach cobbler and watched an episode of Girl Boss.

20. Lazy evening with Luc. Watched The Longest Ride. Forgot how cute that movie is, not to mention Scott Eastwood, just saying.

21. Skyped Nanna and Grandad, which always brightens my day. Sang Fedez's new song to Nanna, seeing her face was so funny. It makes her happy because we're happy.

22. Had a little breakfast on the causeway and went to a preview of Baywatch. The Rock and Zac Efron = Legends. It was great to relax, hang out with friends and laugh.

23. Not going to lie, today was hard. My thoughts and prayers are with the people of Manchester. My home. One day I hope there can only be love in the world. Lucy's Chris arrived back from England safe, so I have that to be thankful for.

24. Incredibly heartbroken to hear that Martyn Hett, who we went to school with, was one of the victims of the Manchester attack. But absolutely inspired by the affect he had on the world. What an amazing person. #BeMoreMartyn

25. Had a really pleasant chat with Mum before driving to Orlando for the weekend.

26. Wrestled my first match in 3 years on CPW'S 'We Don't Play Fight' against Luc. It was scary but so much fun.

27. Went to Magic Kingdom with Chris. Love Disney days with my best friend.

28. Went to Hogan's Beach shop in Orlando and watched Luc in the final show of 'We Don't Play Fight.' She did amazing and again, I am so proud of her for stepping out of her comfort zone.

29. Had a me and Chris day. Went to the zoo and had ice cream and doughnuts.

30. Found a Balconi Italian cake at the produce stand!! Reminded me of home and childhood. I couldn't resist it. Happiness!

31. Skyped Nanna and Grandad with Jen. Showed them my Italian cake. Love seeing their faces when they see us happy with Italian things. They both looked so well, which is always, always a wonderful thing. Practiced some Italian and sent lots of kisses.
