Happiness Diary: April!

Kelly and I are all about sharing the things that make us happy. We very much love to sing from the rooftops in hopes that what we love will make other smile too. Though we like to keep scrapbooks and are always jotting down on our calendars what we have been up to each day, keeping these Happiness diaries has really been quite eye opening and refreshing.
Sitting down at the end of the day and making notes of the things that put a smile on my face has been such a lovely way of remembering to take it all in and truly appreciate the little things. It's a moment to pause and say thank you for even the smallest rays of sunshine! :)

1: Caught up with friends we hadn't seen in years and had a road trip with Chris. Also watched Chris wrestle! AND, AND, AND... met one of my absolute favourites ever, Lindsey Kelk! She is pure awesomeness.

2: The Hardy Boyz returned at WrestleMania. Uh, moments like these that legit make you feel twelve years old again. Such happy times.

3: Spent the day looking through family photos with my cousin in law Ariel.

4: Spent the evening with my family in Port Charlotte, love family time and being there for each other.

5: Watched my husband be strong for his family by singing a beautiful song and giving a lovely speech. Such a raw and real moment of staring at my husband and wondering how I got so beyond lucky. I was so proud of him. The love was fit to burst.

6: Made Nanna and Grandad's lasgane from scratch and skyped with the family.

7: Watched Chris play the Bad Guy in the opening night of Chad Diety. He was awesome.

8: Went to the produce stand with Kelly, made a fresh, delicious salad and watched 'Walking on Sunshine'

9: Had a lie in, learning my Italian in bed. Went to Starbucks and Target with Kelly and then spent the day cooking and baking.

10. Made Grandad's fresh homemade tomato sauce for the first time ever, with pasta.

11: Sat working on my book while Chris sang and played guitar. Inspiration! :)

12: Made pastiera and pizza! :)

13: Awesome gym session with Chris, followed by cuddles.

14: After a double bill at work, got to hang out with Chris and catch up with our favourite shows.

15: Had a blast wrestling training with Kelly and Chris.

16: Skyped with Nanna, Grandad and the family, everyone was happy. Thank you modern technology, I'd be lost without Skype. Had a lovely Easter with the family at Grandmas here.

17: Spent the day writing = heaven.

18: Had an evening of Starbucks and pizza, while walking around Safety Harbor with Chris.

19: Feeling strong with deadlifts.

20: Chris got awesome wrestling news. Happy and proud of him.

21: Chris texting, lots of positive news. Him being happy makes me happy.

22: Girls night with Alana and Kelly, lots of cheese, wine and pizza.

23: Spent the morning writing in bed. Skyped with the little sister. Read 'Hitting that sweet spot' by Lara Ward Cosio and did my happy book squeal.

24: Parcel from home. My family is the best, so incredibly thoughtful. It was filled with tons of  favourite things, coffee and chocolate.

25: Beach day with Chris and Kelly, pausing and taking in the beautiful scenery. Such a gorgeous day.

26: Talking to my wonderful author friend Rebecca, so blessed she came into my life.

27: Getting lots of writing done.

28: Took baby Gibson to the beach, he loved it. Loved watching him play and smile. Also, projects are coming together! Believe and always dream big.

29: Feeding time with Gibson, he's such a happy eater. His giggles are everything.

30: Skype with family, got to sing happy birthday and join in with family dinner a little bit!

So, there you have it. I feel incredibly grateful for all the awesome moments and happy things that April bought. Hope you had a great month too and here's to an amazing May for everyone!

  1. I'm in love with this idea! Since it's the first of the month, I'm going to start today and write down at least one thing that I'm grateful for or that made me happy that day. It's so important to appreciate the little things in life and I think this will definitely help. :-)

    1. Aww thank you Freya, we got the idea from Steph, at Hello Steph! She's awesome and we loved her idea of spreading happiness each month! It's so much fun to make notes and maybe appreciate something a little more that you wouldn't normally stop and appreciate too much, or if you're having a bad day, looking back and writing things down mean you can still find a positive! :) Have fun writing yours! xx

  2. Love this Lucy! Just reading it makes me happy :) I've loved keeping up with your beach and wrestling adventures across social media this month and it looks like you all had so much fun :) I hope you have a wonderful May xox
    Steph x. <a href="http://marvelsteph.blogspot.co.nz/>Hello, Steph Blog</a>

    1. Aww thank you so much Steph and thank you so much for the inspiration. I love reading your happiness diaries, they are always so colourful and you do so much, it's motivating to read! :) I hope you have a wonderful May too! xx

  3. So many happy things! I think it's awesome that you guys love wrestling (and wrestle!!) I love wresting too, but sadly do not wrestle lol I was at Wrestlemania and the crowd reaction to when the Hardy Boyz came out was INSANE!!!! I recorded my boyfriend and I am so glad I did, it's so funny to look back at the video and see him lose it LOL

    1. Haha, thank you! I (Kelly) was at Wrestlemania too, my first ever one and it was amazing!! My husband recorded me and I'm so glad he did too. The Hardyz were our absolute favourites growing up, so I think I was just in complete and utter shock! ha!!
Thank you for reading! :) xx
