Nothing but love!

Over the past few weeks there has been a lot going on in the world that I feel has been a mix of happiness, sadness, inspiration, confusion, togetherness and feelings of loneliness. I felt the urge to want to put something good out there, but I was really struggling with how to write a post about it without me getting angry or without it sounding somewhat negative.

Have you ever had one of those moments where you feel like something finds you at the right time? Kelly and I have said many a time that a book came into our lives at the right moment, or a person inspired us when we needed it most, and I have to say that I had one of those moments just last week. One night while enjoying an evening in by myself I decided to find something on Netflix to watch, scrolling through, I ended up clicking on Jane The Virgin. Two weeks later and I am hooked, so much so, that you know I had to research the actors and learn about them.

When I looked up Justin Baldoni, who plays Rafael in the show, and checked out his social media, I was blown away and couldn't stop smiling. I felt like all these emotions I was feeling and the words I wanted to express to the world clicked, and rather simply too. As, if you go on any of his social media platforms you can't help but feel LOVE. An abundance of LOVE simply beams through the screen. Through all the hate and taking sides, through all the fear and divide, the world needs love, just love. So it made my heart happy when, if I am very honest, I scrolled through Justin's Instagram and Twitter and I could not wipe the grin off my face, love, just love, was being promoted everywhere. I felt a warmth, a happiness and just this feeling of good vibes.

Visit Justin's Omaze page and check out the Wayfarer Foundation and help spread LOVE!

I felt encouraged and inspired to further spread that love. It made me take a moment to analyze my own steps, am I doing enough to make people smile, to bring love to each person I meet every day? We should gravitate to those people around us who want to make a difference. We should focus on those people who are bringing light into the world. We should work on ourselves and strive to be kinder in all areas of our life. Go and follow Justin Baldoni and I guarantee you will feel inspired by his heart. Also, just check out the whole cast, Gina Rodrigues is beautiful inside and out and oh my goodness Brett Dier is hilarious, full of love and just awesome.

I know we have written many a post on this blog about love and positivity, but today I truly wanted to stress the importance of it. There is still so much negativity in the world, are you really doing your best to make a change? I feel in today's society we can easily shrug off a moment of judgment with "I'm having a bad day", or "She deserved it". We can be so caught up in our own lives we forget to smile, or we turn a blind eye to someone on the street. Furthermore, we don't think twice before commenting, sharing our opinions and thinking bad of someone if they don't feel the same. There are so many little moments that we miss as a chance to be nice to someone or go the extra mile, and it's something I want to work on. Yes, there are big things going on right now that we need to fight for, but don't forget these little things. For it starts with us and how we treat our neighbours. If we each respect and be kind to one another even at times when love seems far from our minds, we will grow stronger and even the hardest of hearts will learn the value of a smile, being the bigger person, lending a helping hand and lifting others up.

Have a beautiful day.

  1. I love this!! I 100% agree that we just need to focus on positivity and love and hope, and fight when we can. I've made it one of my goals for this year and going forward to always be the one who smiles. I would rather be the positive person than the one scowling. I mean, I'm not walking through a store grinning from ear to ear at everyone, but if I cross paths, I'm going to be nice! And I think we all should be. This world has been SUCKING lately and I don't think it's going to get better anytime soon. The least we can do is spread happiness and love to those who need it most!

    1. Aww yay, that's exactly how we feel. Even if we look like goofs and say hello and smile and someone doesn't smile back, it always feels nice to spread happiness and it's always so satisfying when someone looks surprised and smiles back. It really is so simple sometimes to make someone's day or put a little light into the world! :) We love that that is one of your goals! :) xxx
