'11 Things You Didn't Know' Tag!

We love reading tags and seeing what fun questions other bloggers come up with, we did one just last week from Underland to wonderland and then got tagged in this one from Simona from 'Skys book corner'! We thoroughly enjoyed answering the questions! Feel free to join in too! :)
1. If you could live in a book, TV show or movie, what would it be?
Lucy: Hands down, the first thing that came to mind is 'Chuck'. If I could live in that TV show I would be happy as can be. Yes please to having Chuck, Sarah, Morgan, Casey, Captain Awesome, Jeffster and Ellie as my friends! :) If I could live in a book, I would probably say 'Harry Potter' because I would love to be able to do magic and eat all the wonderful food and sweets they have. Also, I would love to have lived in the beatnik era so I would say I'd love to live in 'On The Road' by Jack Kerouac too! :) As far as movies go, hmmm, I think it would be a blast to be able to kick ass and be part of 'The Avengers. There's probably others but I really can't think of them right now! :p
Kelly: Firstly, I like how Luc decided to give you an answer for everyone of those choices rather than just one! ;p It's fun though so i'm going to do the same! TV show definitely 'Chuck.' Who wouldn't want Chuck, Sarah, Awesome, Ellie, John Casey and dare I say it, Jeffster in their friendship circle??? It would be the best ever! :) For book, obviously it has to be Harry Potter, the whole world is just incredible and I doubt there is a person on the planet who isn't sat waiting for their Hogwarts letter...the owl just got lost, OK?! Oooh as far as movies go, I am going to pick The Avengers, just in general, not sure if i'm answering the question properly with this one as it's not so much like I would just want to live in that world all the time but I would't say no to being in a movie with Chris Evans, Chris Hemsworth etc and kicking some butt alongside them!! :)

2. What animal best represents you and why?
Lucy: I got stuck answering this question so I asked my husband, he says that I remind him of a Lioness. He loves watching the programs about Lions when they are in their natural habitat and is always showing me clips on Instagram of the man that has that huge safari land and talks to and plays with his Lions. Apparently I'm like a Lioness because I can be quite subdued but wild too! Hmm! :p
Kelly: So my Mum said I remind her off a Giraffe, when asked why she said it's because of the way I eat...thanks mum. However, it kind of works as my husband loves Giraffes and when I told him what she said, he said they are also majestic creatures, strong and very elegant...oh stop!!! ;p I'm not really sure myself so I'll just go with them!

3. If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
Lucy: I always say the same but it would have to be Italy. I want to explore the Amalfi coast and see every part of it, eat all the food and learn all about the culture. I want to experience living the way my Grandparents lived! :) In addition, San Francisco is also on the top of my least as I would love to visit the Beat Museum!
Kelly: Again, I am going to agree with Luc and say Italy, I like to think I'm the kind of person that wants to travel and see the whole world but then when I actually stop to think about it, I really just want to see Italy from top to bottom. My dream is to one day live their for a few months so that I can fully immerse myself in the culture and also so that I will have no excuses not to speak Italian, I do also love the idea of going back to Finland, I love cozy log cabins, roaring fires and snow...Magic!!! :)

4. What would be your “perfect” day?
Lucy: I adore the days when I can stay in my pajama's a little longer than normal, sit at my desk and write for a few hours, go to the gym with my husband and spend the day hanging out with him, making food and watching our favourite shows together. Throw in seeing my family and getting to hang out with them too, laughing, chatting, playing games and having coffee and Italian biscuits with my Nanna and Grandad and I would say you have a perfect day! :)
Kelly: My perfect day would be getting to relax and enjoy my morning coffee while writing and organizing, followed by lunch with my Nanna and Grandad, sat laughing, chatting and eating good food. I would have an hour or so to just sit and read in the afternoon, made even better if my Mum would sit and read with me. I would have a walk and chat with my husband or curl up and watch a documentary or funny TV show with him, then I would dance around the kitchen to the Overtones with my sisters and Mum while making dinner. We would all sit round the table together and eat, then play some games, tidy up and watch a movie all together! Luckily for me we have had a few of those days while home. It's the little things in life!

5. If you could have one superpower, what would it be and how would you use it?
Lucy: Flying!!! Superman was my favourite Superhero growing up and I thought it was so cool that he could fly. Thor has become my recent favourite superhero and I love that he has the ability to fly too, I just think it's awesome. So I would definitely choose to fly because being able to fly home whenever I wanted would be the best thing in the whole entire world.
Kelly: Why must we always do the Twin thing??!!!! Hands down, it would be the ability to fly! Ever since we were kids and we loved Superman, we have dreamed about being able to Fly. If I could just fly myself home rather than get on a plane to and from America I would be happy. I would even settle for a flying hoover like Sabrina the teenage witch had!!!

6. If you could time travel, would you go to the past or the future?
Lucy: I think I would definitely go to the past. To spend another day with my other Grandparents who are no longer with us would be wonderful. I'd love to chat to them and hug them and just spend time with them again.
Kelly: The past! Like our Grandad always quotes "The Future is not ours to see, ce sera sera." I want to look forward to what the future holds, enjoy the surprises and see where life takes me, so I would definitely say the past. I would love to go back and see Nanna and Grandads restaurant in full swing, see Nanna in the kitchen and Grandad greeting their customers. It would be an amazing thing to witness! I too would love to spend another day with our Nanna and Grandad George to catch them up with what we've been up to. That would be nice! :)

7. What is “home” to you?
Lucy: Home is definitely my childhood home, being surrounded by my family. I simply feel my most content when I am here. I have to say though that I am learning as I get older that we do have to fly the nest and make our own homes, lives and families and I must admit that when my husband and I are pottering around our little apartment and going about our daily lives together, as long as he is there I feel at home too. Oooh but Kelly does have to be close by too, otherwise I feel lost. Right now though, I am LOVING being back in Stockport, having my family and my husband in one place equals heaven! :)
Kelly: Home is definitely where my family is! I do feel like as much as I love America, after six years I have grown to miss England very much and it will always be home. Saying that, when I am in Virginia with my in laws, I feel very much at home too, which I am very thankful for! :)

8. If you could bring one fictional character to life, who would it be and why?
Lucy: Oh wow, this one is a hard one to answer. I'm the kind of person that gets incredibly passionate about characters, whether it be in books, movies or TV shows. In movies I also have a tendency to think of the actors as the characters, for instance, I would love for Chuck to be real as I ADORE him, but I also feel that's because I adore Zachary Levi! :p Though, if there was a real, real Chuck, that would be pretty awesome too! :) Ooh and I have a bunch of heroines from some of my favourite books recently that I would love to go for coffee with. Sarah from 'The Bookshop on the Corner' seems like a wonderful person to chat to, as well as Lil from 'The Gingerbread Cafe'. Ooh and any of Lindsey Kelk's leading ladies would be awesome to hang out with too. Oooh and if everyone in Kristan Higgins' Blue Heron series were real, I'd like that. :) Ok, one more, I think it would be amazing if the likes of Thor were real. How cool would that be?
Kelly: This question is really, really tricky, like really!!! It maybe because I have read so much in the last few years so I have a bunch of characters swimming around my head. There are so many amazing heroines that I would love to have as my best friend like Lou from 'Me before you,' Sarah from 'The bookshop on the corner.' Jessica Beam from 'The Vintage guide to love and romance,' Penny from 'Christmas at Lilac cottage.' the list could go on. but then you have all the amazing heroes that are so dreamy that it would be amazing to meet them in real life like Harry from 'Four weddings and a white Christmas,' Oliver from 'One wish in Manhattan' and oh my goodness Conner O'Rourke from 'Anything for you.' So you see, I really can not pick just one!! :p

9. If you could play one instrument you aren’t able to now, what would it be and why?
Lucy: Guitar. I really wish I hadn't quit when I was younger as my husband plays and I would love to play alongside him. I think it's amazing when he plays, I can sit and listen to him all day.
Kelly: I would love to play guitar but I think I am going to go with Drums. Oh how I wish I'd actually had lessons when I got my drum kit, then I think I would have stuck at it a lot longer than I did trying to teach myself!

10. Would you rather live in the city, by the sea, in the mountains or the woods? Why?
Lucy: Ooh this one is a tricky one. When my husband and I last visited New York we got so excited and could envision ourselves living in the City. We fell in love with the place and I really liked how there was so much to do. It felt magical like you can experience new things every day. However, when we go to St Pete we enjoy the peace and calm of the beach town and sunshine. I really do like the idea of both. I feel you could make both so cozy and homey.
Kelly: Hmm this is a hard one. I do love the idea of by the Sea as I think it would make for a gorgeous view through my curtains everyday but then at the same time, I kind of get scared of living near a lot of water! I like the idea of a small village, maybe in the mountains but my brain is thinking more of Kate Winslets house in The Holiday, for some reason I am drawn to that little idyllic cottage in a small village type of vibe!

11.What does friendship mean to you?
Lucy: To me friendship means being able to be completely yourself with another person, that means feeling confident in who you are around them, being able to be honest, share your opinions and never feel like you are trying too hard or that you have to sugar coat things or be intimidated. I have met so many wonderful, extraordinary people in my life, some who have been friends for a short period, some longer periods, some I thought would stick around but haven't and its taught me to go with the flow a whole lot more and let things be, as well as learning what I should look out for. I have people who I consider my dearest friends who have moved to different states or the other side of the world and though we don't talk all the time, I feel I could go to them with any problem and trust them with my whole heart. I've learnt over time that friendship is give and take, it's treating people how you wish to be treated, it's loving someone for who they are, not expecting anything but also knowing that they are they for you without you needing to ask. In addition, I used to feel that friendship was having someone know everything about you but I realize it can simply be making someone smile, looking out for someone, having a nice chat or conversation, sending a nice email, after all, shouldn't we strive to be friends with all who we come in contact with? Whether we speak to them for 5 mins, in person or through social media, or the rest of our lives.
Kelly: I used to think that friendship meant being with someone all the time, who you told everything too, depended on and were going to be "BFF'S 4 EVER." but the older I get, the more I realize that friendship is about honesty, the ability to be there for one another, acting without judgement, understanding one another and never taking advantage of each others friendship. I used to think I had friends that I could be completely honest with until I realized that actually I wasn't able to be completely honest at all. Now I have friends who I don't see 24/7, I may even move from state to state or even to a different country and not see them for ages but when I do see them, it's like we've never been apart, they are also friends I can be completely honest with, they don't judge or take advantage and they are there for me. I am a big believer in "Treat others how you wish to be treated" and when you find people who truly truly personify that and they wish to be your friend, then hold on to them!
Then there's the friendship where you just know you were destined to have that person in your life, they get you like no one has got you before and no matter how much you pick on them and they pick on you, you will never get rid of them!!! :p

Please feel free to join in with this tag too!
Happy Monday!
Love Lucy and Kelly
