Two years today! :)

Two years ago today I was having the time of my life surrounded by my wonderful family at The Don Cesar in St Petersburg Florida. I was in my absolute element. It was the first time that Chris's family and my family had all properly met and got to spend time with each other and I adored having them all in one place, together at the same time. I was pretty much ready to set up home in The Don and keep every one there forever.

October 12th started out, such a bright and beautiful morning, the sun was shining and I was having lots of girly fun getting my hair and makeup done, hanging out eating crisps with my sisters, my Mum and Auntie and I was more than ready to marry my most favourite person in the world. I was slightly anxious but I think way more happy and excited and simply enjoying everything that was going on around me. There was so much love and laughter and I couldn't have felt more blessed.

My Kelly! :) Love this picture! :p

By late afternoon, I was ready to hit the beach and see Chris. I had missed him all morning and I knew that the little butterflies and nerves would go away as soon as I saw him. They did. The ceremony couldn't have been more perfect and I give all credit to the amazing Grace Felice for that. She was our officiant and she was awesome. After only spending an hour talking to Chris and I on the phone and a few emails back and forth leading up to our wedding, her words felt like she had known us forever and that she knew exactly what our relationship was all about. She quoted poets, artists and made us laugh retelling how we first met. Grace was probably one of my favourite things that made our wedding so special. :)

 With Grace! :)

When it came to vows, as Chris started speaking I was grinning from ear to ear, we had written our vows in the same structure and style without knowing and it simply made my heart soar. Hearing his words while stood on the beach felt incredibly special. The backdrop of the sun shining, the gorgeous blue sky and sea and our close family and friends was simply perfect.

 He's my favourite! :)

The evening consisted of lots of dancing, hugs, the most delicious food ever, an ice cream bar, a gorgeous and scrumptious cake from Sweet Tweets Cakery, and again, so much love and laughter. I loved dancing with my Chris to our wedding song, he chose it and that meant the world to me. I often listen to it and sing my heart out when I do! :)

I feel so incredibly blessed looking back at these pictures and thinking about our big day. For me it was magical and truly the best day ever. The past two years have flown by and I feel like it has been longer that Chris and I have been together, though I mean that in a good way. :p He is my everything and I smile each day when I wake up and see him lying next to me, I get extremely giddy at 5:30 when I hear the key in the lock and he walks in from work, after being a part 9 hours of the day (I know, I know, I'm hopeless.) I see his face and fall in love with him all over again. He makes life exciting and interesting and I simply love having him by my side to experience whatever adventure the days bring us. :) He truly is the most amazing husband and my love for him grows stronger with each passing day.

Wishing every one a wonderful, happy day! For anyone getting married soon, I wish you all the very, very best and hope you're day is simply the best day ever too!

Love Lucy xx
