What i'm thankful for... :)

Although I always laugh with my friends around this time of year about the fact that us Brits shouldn't be celebrating Thanksgiving, it's become somewhat of a tradition in itself that I join in with the festivities. :) I've spent three thanksgivings in Kentucky now and one with my family in Virginia and I have loved them all.
It's always a day filled with lots of love, laughter, warmth and a feeling of closeness and family. It's hard not to celebrate something like that. It's my husbands favourite holiday and one that I really enjoy being a part of. Any time people can come together to be grateful and thankful is a cause for celebration, so with that being said and in the lead up to the day itself, I thought I would share with you a few things that I am thankful for. :)

My husband! Each and every day I wake up more in love with him and thankful that he came into my life. He's still the coolest guy I've ever met! :)

My family! My absolute everything. They are my whole world and I count my lucky stars that I can call them all mine! :p

My extended family who are quite simply the best ever! I love them all to the moon and back and couldn't feel more blessed that we all became one big family. (Also Michele and Harry we need more pictures together! :p )

For adventures and getting to see the world with the most amazing people by my side! :)

For memories and culture. My Nanna's and Grandad's have given me and taught me so much, their passion, who they are and where they came from inspires me and motivates me on so many levels and I love them more than words can say.

For crazy adventures, dreams coming true and meeting people that hold a special place in your heart. ( I have too many pictures of my friends and I love them all to death, couldn't fit them all on here though, without it being a super long post, but you all know who you are! :) )

For music and my kick ass husband for introducing me to the most incredible people that I feel like I'd be lost without. Listening to songs over and over that make me feel alive and like magic and anything and everything is possible. :)

And for books! :p

I hope everyone has a wonderful and blessed week! Tonight I get to go grocery shopping with my husband for all our Thanksgiving preparations! I can't wait! :)

Feel free to share what you're thankful for in the comments below, I'd love to read about them! :)

Love Lulu xx

  1. Happy Thanks giving Lucy! Being a Canadian, we have thanksgiving in October, and my husband and I used to celebrate it over here in the UK, but these past few years have made it difficult to do a proper dinner. For now, we just whisper why we are thankful for each other :)Angie x |~ Chocolate & Lipstick || UK Beauty Blog ~
