Go Go Power Rangers and WINNERS!

Happy Friday everyone! :)

This week has been a happy one, lots of smiling and cuddles and simply taking a step back and appreciating all that is around me. I definitely feel like I am making progress since I spoke about 'living in the now' in my previous blog http://lululocket.blogspot.com/2014/09/figuring-out-keys-to-happiness-plus.html I have been keeping busy, I got to work on getting some projects off the ground, after a little procrastination, I  reached out to a friend and through him being sweet enough to help, it gave me a positive boost that I needed and I'm really excited to show you all when it's finished! I have spent many hours on the phone to my Mum and Dad this week which is always needed but to which I am forever grateful for their time. I have had Voxer messages from Nanna and Grandad thanks to my awesome sister Jenny, I also got to Skype them last weekend, you couldn't wipe the smile off my face and I have taken in every little butterfly I get when I hear the car beep and I know my husband is back from work. We've been watching tons of wrestling together and cooking together and I know that when he is with me everything is wonderful and I am one lucky girl. :) Also, I have to say that I am extremely thankful for those of you who commented and messaged me, your words really meant the world and made me smile too, I felt very comforted and for that I can't thank you enough! :)

Today I thought I would share a few Friday favourites, things that have been keeping me occupied and that have been making me smile! :)

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers!
When my sisters and I were younger we loved everything our brother loved, Superman, Thunderbirds, Stingray and of course the Power Rangers. Our little sister might not have been old enough to fully appreciate our Power Rangers frenzy back then, but I was the pink Power Ranger, Kelly was the yellow one and our brother Chris, started out as the red one but then changed to the green and white one, as we all loved Tommy and thought he was the coolest. I remember one Christmas when the three of us got Power Ranger annuals, we bounced
off the walls with excitement. I don't usually remember Christmas presents from when I was little but that year my family had experimented with spending Christmas abroad in Florida, so we didn't have a tree or lots of presents, just those annuals, and I have to say I can clearly picture opening it to this day. (Simple things in life, it's not about tons of presents just one thoughtful one, thanks Mum and Dad) We treasured those books and never went anywhere without them. When we got a bit older Chris had collected a few Power Ranger toys, as he had to keep up with Tommy changing from green ranger to white ranger but Kelly and I were desperate to have our toy version of 'us' for when we ran round the house playing. :p We were beyond excited when Mum surprised us with our figures, Kelly yellow and me pink and we still have them to this day. :) The original, and in my opinion the best, Power Rangers ever! I recently came across Jason David Frank, he played Tommy, on Instagram and Twitter and he seems incredibly lovely and is still kicking ass! Give him a follow and I guarantee you will feel motivated and inspired, he's made me laugh a lot this week and smile thinking about my childhood! :) Instagram: @jdfffn
Zachary Levi!!!!
Now I know I talk about this guy a lot...like a whole, whole, whole lot and I am aware of this fact, however, I had to share this panel with you today as he is truly inspirational to me. This panel had me laughing out loud, grinning like the Cheshire cat and crying little sobs. I think he is a beautiful person inside and out and I implore you to watch this! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&list=UU0JBkXHIa5Co_Jx4Q-2ukTg&v=jfEDPwxdpBc
Our Etsy Shop! :)
I felt inspired after watching the panel above and it gave me all the motivation and positive thinking to keep plugging away at out little shop! It makes me smile that it is something I can share with my sisters and gives us a way of working and being creative together. Everything we make comes from the heart and we make it because we think it's cute or cool, I hope that you will find something on there that you like and that can bring a smile to your face and just make you feel happy. :) https://www.etsy.com/shop/SweetIsAlwaysInStyle Also, my awesome brother in law made us this advert and I think it's amazing and the sweetest thing. Thank you Chris! :) https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=tuoTPsWd-is

I just adore her! :) This is one of my favourite looks that she has done, it's simple but so pretty and I must try it soon. I have a long list of her tutorials that I need to practice and try out, she's just gorgeous! https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=8_uLoaqtWwc

    \outl0\strokewidth0 \strokec2 My favorite thing this week while my husband was away on a work trip was enjoying a pumpkin spice frappacino from Starbucks. Something about pumpkin deliciousness always makes me smile. One of my favorite de-stressors is creating art. It's sometimes hard to find the time, but I'm always so glad I did. I'm currently working on bible verses for each of the kids' rooms & it's so fun & relaxing. I always enjoy reading your blog & will check out the fun links soon. Have a blessed day!}

    1.
