Meet the men from 'How To Bake A New Beginning.'

My debut novel; 'How to Bake a New Beginning' is officially out and it still feels very surreal. I've had plenty of nerves fluttering around in my stomach for the past few months hoping you all will enjoy it. But there has been a ton of excitement to as I anticipate each reader meeting the characters I love. Over the past few years I have definitely built a little bond with Amanda, Sabrina and Louisa and I don't think a day has gone by where I don't think of something they are up to or what they should be doing next; hence my need for always carrying a notebook around, stay tuned. I have thoroughly enjoyed visiting their worlds and feel a huge sense of contentment when I disappear in them.

Furthermore, I must say that I have a soft spot for the leading men in my story. They have also been a joy to write. I thought it would be fun to introduce you to them today:

Dan.

I feel all three love interests in 'How to Bake a New Beginning' are leading men, however, near and dear to my heart is Dan, Amanda's best friend. Dan is the hopeless romantic in me and I adore him. Dan for me is quite simply just wonderful and he came easily to the page. He isn't perfect, as no one is, but there is not a lot of drama or conflicts or troubles when it comes Dan. Amanda brings out the best in him, she brings out the vulnerability in him, she brings out the desire, art and love in him. Their friendship is pure to where they can simply be themselves without thought. Dan has a certain rugged masculinity to him yet he is soft and doesn't pretend to be tough. He's quite the free spirit and has a very poetic vibe to him, with that sense of mystery. The coolness however, is not something that is a front for anything, he's not hiding anything, it's just him. Dan embodies being a Rock-star in the sense that he has the ability to captivate people. There's just a beautiful aura about him, where people what to get to know him and talk to him. One of my favourite things about Dan is that he makes time for everyone and will go out of his way to make everyone feel like a someone. He never fails to make me smile, writing him is my little fairy-tale. And i'll admit, there may or may not be Harry Styles references in this book when it comes to Dan...

there are!! ;)

Levi.

Levi is my tall, dark and handsome drummer with a smile that's trouble. He has a heart of gold with mischievous bones. He's the one that likes to have fun and very much embraces the fame game; flirting, going out and enjoying the perks that being in a Band brings with it. When he meets Sabrina though he is caught off guard. She keeps him on his toes and he wants her. He's just not quite sure how to handle it at first. He is fiercely loyal and having been friends with Dan and his band mates since school he would do anything to protect them and look out for them. They are very much family. Writing Levi always makes me smile as he's very much full of life and doesn't always want to take things too seriously.

Luca.

Ahh Luca. My Italian stallion. Luca is an honest to goodness sweetheart and complete gentleman. He is genuine and kind with a chiseled jaw and bright blue eyes. Luca comes from a close Italian family and has gone into the family business, helping his Dad run their Pasticceria. He enjoys working with his family and believes in the traditions and values that Italians put on family; family comes first. However, though he loves his job and is an incredibly hard-worker, he dreams of seeing the world and exploring more than just what the little town of Ozoro can offer. He again is someone that doesn't hold a lot of drama, what you see is what you get. He speaks his mind and says how he feels and I love that about him. Louisa sees a lot of herself in Luca, I feel they are very much kindred spirits who found each other at the right time. I feel they are going on a journey together and it makes my heart happy watching it unfold as I write.

I truly hope you love these guys just as much as me. They were a pleasure to write and I sincerely hope they can make you smile when reading my book. I'd love to know if you end up finding yourself drawn to one of them to! :)

  1. It funny that when I was reading and Dan popped up in the book, that I just thought of him as a Harry Style lookalike! He's basically who I picture when they talk about him! :) Tania Michele xx
