It's been a while since I read Victoria Cooke's debut novel 'The Secret to Falling in Love' and I have been meaning to get my act in gear and catch up with her most recent releases, 'The Holiday Cruise' and 'Who needs Men anyway?' for a little while now, as I thoroughly enjoyed her debut. 'Who needs Men anyway?' did not disappoint.

Book Review: The Purrfect Pet Sitter by Carol Thomas.

When Carol Thomas got in touch about reviewing 'The Purrfect Pet Sitter,' it sounded like too much fun to pass up, so I had to add it to my TBR pile. I'm so glad I did, because I thoroughly enjoyed it from start to finish.

Simple Sweetcorn Fritters!

We feel like we probably say this a lot, but if we could sum up our childhood in a dish there's a 99.9% possibility that we would say this one. The squeals it elicited are second to none...but then again, we don't think there's a dish that Nanna and Grandad prepared for us that didn't have us jumping for joy, doing some sort of odd dance move or making some high pitched noise.

So, I wrote a book...

This GIF though! It's kind of my expression right now, like 'Yep, me!! I wrote a book!' I've very much been in dream land since it was announced on Friday.

I'm back with another book from the lovely Therese Beharrie. This one was rather a unique story and had me intrigued, so I couldn't refuse the chance to read it, when Therese got in touch with me. Thank you Therese!

Sharing our Dreams.

One of our biggest dreams in life is to publish our family cookbook. It's quite scary writing that and sort of 'saying it out loud,'. However, it's something we feel we should hold our heads high a little more confidently with now and proclaim that we are in fact going to make this dream a reality. We know it's something we have touched on in the odd tweet here and there, but actually writing it on our blog feels a touch nerve wrecking. We don't want to fail.

How lovely yellow is!

A few months back I wrote a post on my style inspiration and not much has changed since then. Harry Styles has continued to mesmerize me with his outfit choices. It has been so much fun waiting to see what he is wearing each night of his tour via the wonderful world of social media. I would be hard pressed to pick a favourite ensemble, though Manchester's red suit is up there, because we got to experience it live!

Cheesecake di ricotta al caffe.

It's half 11 in the morning and I'm in Padova, Italy, in our Auntie's kitchen. She's whipping up a simple yet delicious lunch, while Antonella Clerici is chatting to her guests about what they are going to be cooking in the La Prova del Cuoco studio that morning. My sister Jen and I are trying to divide our attention between the beautiful produce on our TV screen and the heavenly smells coming from the kitchen. It's a wonderful moment in our day, and one that we will repeat over the next few days of our trip.

Book Review: One Summer In Rome by Samantha Tonge.

After not long getting back from a trip to Italy, I still very much feel like I am in Italian mode, then again I'm never really out of it, if I'm being honest! I love anything and everything to do with the beautiful country, so reading Samantha Tonge's new book leading into Summer was a no brainer.

Dolce Vita Bloggers: Five Italian Words.

Growing up with Italian grandparents has meant we've always, always, been surrounded by the beauty that is the Italian language. While we didn't learn to become fluent as kids, we still knew the very basics - we were always proud that we could count to ten in Italian - and could still acknowledge certain words our Nanna and Grandad said.

Goodnight Sweetheart.

Ever since our sister Jen played 'Say what I feel' to us, six years ago, after she heard The Overtones sing it live on Dancing on Ice, I have loved this band unconditionally. I hadn't bothered about buying albums, watching music videos or catching live television appearances since our Good Charlotte days, but that all changed the moment I heard this five piece vocal harmony group. All of a sudden, from that day forward I had a favourite band, again, and I couldn't get enough of them.

Would any bookworm out there just confirm with me that it's okay to messy cry over a series ending? I can feel a huge book hangover coming on, I just know it, but I don't know what to do about it! I feel tears are inevitable when thinking about my wonderful Wild Warriners and how I won't get to visit Markham Manor anymore!! Unless...Virginia...I saw you talking about a legacy?...maybe?...pretty please...I'll just leave that here...please?!!
