If you invite me on a blog tour that has the name Lara Temple in front of it, then chances are I am 110% going to jump on board. I have devoured every book of hers that I have read and just simply having one on my TBR pile alone makes me feel happy. It's just nice to know there's one there, you know?
Lord Ravenscar's Inconvenient Betrothal is the second book in Lara's Wild Lords and Innocent ladies series. Having met Lord Ravenscar in book one I was intrigued to find out more about him in this story. And find out about him I did! Alan, Marquess of Ravenscar, is the least likely of the Wild Hunt Club to want to settle down. He is happy with his arrangements and occupied with his work. But when his work leads him to a house that he wishes to purchase and he is met by a fiery young lady wielding a mace, his life takes an unwanted turn. Who is this woman? Lily Wallace just needs time to think. She's inherited a huge house but has no one to share it with and she knows it's not proper to live there alone. While she is trying to work out what to do, she meets Lord Ravenscar and he only makes matters worse. Why does she feel such a pull towards someone who can't give her what she desires?

There is no doubt about it, Lord Ravenscar and Lily Wallace have chemistry. Throughout the book they are drawn to each other magnetically, no matter how hard they try to push away, they just keep finding there way back to one another. It was quite intoxicating. Lily is very independent and extremely fond of doing things whether she's 'supposed' to or not, which I really enjoyed. She was innocent yet also knew what she was doing in certain situations. There was always some thought ticking in the background that made me feel like she was a lot smarter than whatever situation she got herself into. She had reasons for everything, besides how she felt for Alan and I liked that about her.

Alan is a little darker in personality than the rest of the Wild Hunt club. I found he had more of a domineering nature than his friends. This is probably why they are so good for each other; they keep each other in check.  I loved seeing Lord Hunter again because I absolutely fell head of heels for him in Lord Hunter's Cinderella Heiress.  It still made me smile when Lara described how everyone looked at him when he walked into the room, and I still fell for his charm. The Wild Hunt Club themselves I enjoy reading about. We get a little more information about the brotherhood between them when Alan explains their friendship in this story and it's hard not to love them. I think it's wonderful reading about men (and women) who share a bond and would do anything for each other. The Wild Hunt Club are exactly those kind of men, they have each others backs, but also love teasing each other. It's completely endearing. Plus, they are so smart and manly - swoon!!

Lord Ravenscar's Inconvenient Betrothal is another winner from Lara Temple. I cannot wait to read her next one, which is all about Lord Stanton! I highly recommend you get started on this series today, or at least add it to your TBR pile!

Happy Reading!
Love
