It's been a while.

Hey guys, how are you all doing? It's been a little while since I've felt compelled to write a blog post but today I just felt like writing. It's going to be a little different to the usual posts in a way, as really I just wanted to chat and sort of give you a bit of a life update, so I hope you don't mind.

First off, I must thank Kelly for doing an excellent job at keeping on top of book reviews and getting back into the swing of them. We love supporting authors and there are so many incredible ones out there that reading books and shouting out about them will forever be a huge passion of ours, so thank you authors and thank you Kelly. Admittedly, it's taken me a minute to get back into reading, but I will be coming at you with some more book reviews very soon. Please check out the one I did yesterday, that book is very special to me.

I've spent the past month in a flurry of Hallmark movies and writing, both of which made me very happy. I certainly love a good romance and I may have become addicted to the Fall and Christmas themed movies on Hallmark. Ooh but my favourite has to be one called Love Blossoms with Victor Webster and Shantel VanSanten, has anyone seen it? It was really cute and made me feel all fuzzy inside. And both Victor and Shantel are just gorgeous.

I think I've got a new love and appreciation for Channing Tatum going on right now. I can't really explain why. I was randomly watching things to just distract myself and make me laugh and came across his Lip Sync battle where he sang Frozen, and, well, now I'm obsessed. Oh that's it, Chris put on 22 Jump Street and I really enjoyed it. That started my love. If you haven't yet witnessed Channing Tatum dressed as Elsa, I highly suggest you stop reading this and go and YouTube it now, that and anything James Corden is in, if you need a good chuckle.

We spent a day helping out with Hold On Puerto Rico while we were in back in Florida last month with my Mom in law and Chris. It felt good to be a part of it and I pray that all the food and supplies get to the people that really need it, including my Mom's sister. If you can donate or find somewhere in your area collecting, please try and help. Thinking of my Grandad really inspires me to be better and do more good for the world. I'm really trying to be conscious of making time to help people more and volunteer and give, instead of just thinking about it. Side note, Chris looks gorgeous in blue and pretty much every other colour, but seriously, those eyes!!! I love him.

Life has very much gone on since July 29th, yet it is forever changed. Some days are better than others but there isn't a minute that goes by where I don't think of my Grandad. It still doesn't seem real and I miss him more and more with every passing day. His presence has left such a big hole that some days I just don't know what to do. He was just amazing and I miss cooking with him and talking to him so much, but I'm really trying to do him proud and follow his guidance and wisdom every day.

I have Tattoo fever right now and really want to get one, but I'm not going to lie, needles aren't my favourite. Here's the age old question but if you have Tattoo's, did they hurt? :p

We are back home in England right now and getting to spend time with Nanna cooking, chatting and practicing our Italian equals happiness. It's lovely being able to hang out with Jen and see our brother Chris more often and spend time with our ever growing family. Our Mum and Dad are simply amazing, they truly are the best and it's awesome being around them every day.

I apologize to the awesome bloggers out there for our lack of comments, between job hunting and getting a bunch of stuff organized, we haven't quite been our social selves. But please know we have been reading your blogs and loving them and are getting back to commenting as much as we can. Keep kicking butt.

What have you all been up to? Is everyone enjoying these crisp Autumn days?

Sending lots of love and best wishes to you all.

  3. Ohhh I'm so glad you're back! Though it is good to have a break I think! Sounds like you've been really busy though :)
I have four tattoos and I want more, they get so addictive! Pain-wise, it depends whereabouts, my feet were the most painful, I have one on my ribs that wasn't as bad as I expected! Would love to see what kind of tattoo you're wanting!
    Hels xx

    1. Aww thank you so much Hels. We've missed you all, it's just been a bit of an up and down few months, but we hope you're doing well! Ooh I've heard that feet can be painful. What designs do you have there? I'd love just a little one really, on my forearm, a quote from my Grandad that i can read everyday. I'm a little scared i won't be able to handle it but yet i really want it! :p My brother is getting another one soon, so I'm going to go with him and watch. :) Lucy xxx

  4. sometimes you just need a little time to yourself...but sometimes you just need a solid few weeks spent appreciating channing tatum from every - single - angle. i have been there before girl, i feel ya. how can anyone be quite so beautiful?! he has been carved by angels ♥♥♥♥

i have five tattoos! some hurt more than others, wrist being the most painful! i have a terrible pain threshold though so i'd say they're pretty painful - but mikey says i'm a wimp haha. what do you want to get?

    katie. xx

    1. Haha, you are awesome Katie and made me laugh. Thank you for that. Lindsey Kelk has made me want to go to Vegas and see his Magic Mike show now. She says it's brilliant and he was actually there last time she went! <3 <3

Aww, haha, my brother got one close to his wrist, but more on his forearm just the other day, and completely just shook it off when I asked if it hurt. But he's a beast and I am still terrified. I'd like one on my forearm so I can read it, just a little quote from my Grandad, so a small one, so I keep telling myself to be brave. What do you have? xx
