Cooking with 1Up Nutrition!

I had been seeing a lot of 1Up Nutrition on Instagram and through watching Heidi Somers on YouTube. Their Protein flavors simply sounded incredible and so I was eager to try them. Heidi and her boyfriend, Josh, often share recipes using the Protein Powders and I would be left drooling after seeing the delicious results. When we went to the Discount Nutrition Center in Tampa for their twenty year celebration they had some awesome sales on, so I couldn't resist making a purchase. I chose the Cinnamon French Toast Protein powder, as both Heidi and Josh said it one was the best to bake with! So let's get baking! :)

Cinnamon French Toast Mug Cake!
2 tbsps. French toast protein powder
1 egg
1 tbsp. Almond milk
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. vanilla
2tblsp peanut butter
Simply mix ingredients together in your microwave safe mug and microwave for 1 minute! Sometimes I will do an extra 10 seconds but be careful not to cook it too much or it will become dry.
I came across a chocolate mug cake recipe on Pinterest and immediately thought to try it using this French Toast Protein, because really what could be better than French Toast in a mug? :) I replaced the coco with the protein powder and it turned out delicious! It's perfect for breakfast or when I have that sweet craving.
*Also, try swapping the peanut butter for 1 banana. The cinnamon flavor really came through this way and it taste amazing.
Chocolate chip/Cinnamon French Toast Pancakes.
1 scoop of French Toast protein powder
1 banana
1 egg
1 egg white
Sprinkle of chocolate chips
Mix all ingredients together in a blender and pour batter onto a griddle or in a pan, you can make them any size you desire! Cook for a few minutes until each side is golden brown.
I really liked the way these turned out. They were lovely and fluffy and you could really taste the banana and cinnamon, which I think is always a winning combination. Bear in mind that these pancakes will be a little floppier, due to them not having any flour or oats in them, so be careful when flipping and keep the heat low and allow for a slightly longer cooking time.
*Also, try replacing the banana for three tablespoons of coconut flour of regular flour. I did this, thanks to 1Up Nutrition's Instagram page, and loved the results. My husband said this had to be his favourite way I have made them yet. They turned out exactly like regular pancakes and were scrumptious. There are so many endless options, I am thoroughly enjoying experimenting. Pancakes everyday for the win! :p
 Banana French Toast smoothie!
1 scoop of French toast protein powder
1 banana
1/2 cup of almond milk
Ice
Simply place all ingredients in a blender and mix until combined.
I love smoothies and love incorporating fruit into my protein shakes on high carb days. This protein powder is now one of my absolute favourites, I love the flavor so didn't want to over power it with peanut butter, so I kept it simple just adding a banana and some almond milk. The banana made it extra creamy and delicious and I felt like I was drinking a French toast milkshake. So good! :)

Be sure to follow 1Up Nutrition on Instagram for some awesome recipes, I love experimenting with the ones I see them share, I just need to stock up on all their delicious flavored protein powders now! Their Coconut Ice Cream flavor is at the top of my wish list!

Have an awesome day and let me know if you have any go to protein recipes in the comments below! Ooh and let me know if you've tried the coconut ice cream flavor. :)

Love Lucy xx
